Starstreet is an emerging, culturally diverse precinct of Hong Kong where artistic boutiques combine with fine dining. Swire Properties wanted to promote this unique juxtaposition of lifestyle and community through the web, where the neighbourhood could be showcased and the community could actively participate to enrich the content.
Ion Global took on the creative challenge of capturing Starstreet's essence with the development of a visual and interactive community site. Features include interviews with artisans, image galleries driven by public contributions, an interactive map and community event announcements. The core identity is clearly exhibited throughout the site and is consistently reinforced with branding strategies such as the 'Reach for the Stars' message board.
Technologically, the site is built with a blend of Flash, HTML, and CSS, and is tightly integrated with a custom content management system, making the entire experience user-friendly for both site visitors and those responsible for its upkeep.
