LG Telecom CanU H5 Mobile GUI Design
LG Telecom asked Ion Global for GUI (graphic user interface) expertise in designing a mobile interface when it first launched the WIDE QVGA TFT LCD CanU mobile model. The new model had the highest screen resolution (240x400) of its time and required Ion Global to design for the high resolution LCD.

Ion Global analysed the characteristics of the CanU model to improve usability. The design had a leading edge due to research in the latest mobile GUI trends.

Service involved

The main menu with detailed 3D icons from the LGT CanU HS8000 mobile.
The MP3 player controls use the same structure as the physical keypad to increase usability.
An animation using complex images and gradient effects illustrates the high resolution of the HS8000.
