Emirates engaged Ion Global for usability consulting, and to review the interim interface and design of their new online booking engine. Ion Global flew its usability lab to Dubai to conduct user testing with existing loyalty programme members to ensure the best possible user experience for future visitors to the web site.
Through discussions with the Emirates' technical and business teams, Ion Global provided the following services and deliverables to meet Emirates' schedule, goals and needs:
Information architecture consulting
User experience process consulting
Interface usability and design reviews
Screen, FAQ and system message content
Formal on-site user testing
In 2005, Ion Global helped to improve the usability of a new feature of emirates.com whereby passengers can manage details of their bookings. Usability tests and expert reviews of an interim design once again contributed to a smooth online user experience.
